A three-count indictment charges 61-year-old Leif Erickson of Pahoa with first-degree commercial promotion of marijuana, second-degree promotion of a detrimental drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police say a search warrant was served July 15, 2011, on a property on Shell Circle in Nanawale Estates, and officers discovered 306 plants, from seedlings to 8-feet-tall, growing outdoors and 293.7 grams of marijuana inside the home, as well as paraphernalia including grow pots.

The second indictment charges 56-year-old Lisa Bowring “and/or” 59-year-old Gary Notrangelo, both of Pahoa, with first-degree commercial promotion of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, and Bowring with first-degree promotion of a detrimental drug and an additional paraphernalia charge.

Police say a search warrant was served on Jan. 10, 2011, on a property on Uilani Drive in Ainaloa subdivision, and officers discovered 110 plants between two inches and two feet tall, both indoors and outdoors, 630.1 grams of dried marijuana and seeds and various paraphernalia associated with marijuana distribution.

First-degree commercial promotion of marijuana is a Class A felony carrying a possible 20-year prison sentence upon conviction.
